Hi Everyone,

I heard today from Doug's family that he passed away recently, assumed in his
90s. Without looking back through our archives, Doug was a racing cyclist from
Nottingham, presumably time trialling and before the 2nd World War.

I have passed on the club's condolences to his family. By chance a few members
are in Nottingham for the Robin Hood events so did invite the caller to come and
meet us on Saturday, 12 September in the Alley Cafe from 6.30pm. There is only a
slim chance of the family member turning up otherwise if you are in the area
please consider meeting us, the Allez Cafe is in Cannon Courtyard, Longrow West,
off Market Square in the city centre. We will probably be there until 8.30pm
with the races the next day.
